Fashion Looks That Are Hot S/S 2012 “Afternoon @ The Bronx Zoo” Style 101 Volume 5#

Its Wednesday in the great borough of the Bronx, and our fashion heroine is ready for her lunch date at the Bronx Zoo. We will call her “Suzy”, and she has been speaking with this particular young man for about 6 months online. Today is the PERFECT day for a casual meeting, to see if this budding online romance has any chance, away from the keyboard.

“Suzy” is wearing a Diane Von Furstenberg Printed silk crepe dress, accented with a waist flattering Alaia Leather fringe belt, and Falke Pure Matte hosiery. Because its early spring, a delicious 65 degrees, a wonderful jacket would be perfect. Superfine Hero wool-blend jacket in blackwas chosen, coupled with a Ralph Lauren Fringe Lace Scarf for that nippy breeze  will viewing the elephants, giraffes, and other outdoor wildlife. For accessories I decided on two options, here is  the reason why. Zoos require a lot of “foot-traffic”, walking to and fro from each zoological display may not be appropriate  for one selection of sexy high heeled boots, so I included a pair of super cute ballerina slippers as well. Psssssst,…(whispering) Keep in mind, if “Mr Right” is perfect, it will be on to a fabulous lunch. One does not want to have to worry about how much your feet hurt, will looking into his dreamy baby blues. I chose a pair of Jimmy Choo Thigh High Leather Boots for entrance vaaaaaaaa-vaaaboom, and pair of Jimmy Choo Wallach leather Ballet Flats for comfort, (and later during the romantic lunch). Many probably understand this logic, but ladies, when wearing a pair of super sexy heels, ALWAYS have a pair of sexy, but ultra comfortable “slip-ons” on hand, incase your feet say ” Enough is enough”. I tell many of my clients to have fun choosing your “slip-ons” for that occasion, making sure that they are color and event appropriate.

For “Mr. I Love Your Avatar, Lets Meet Up”

Luckly enough, he was styled by yours truly, we will call him “Billy”.

“Billy” has been looking forward to this date for sometime. Slowly, gentle persistence was needed in this situation, and he has FINALLY won. “Billy” is a graphic designer by profession, and loves to express his creativity in his fashion choices.

His look starts with a Ralph Lauren Combat jacket w/ detachable lining. He couples this with a pair of  Waxed Panelled Jeans he purchased in Paris, (He has been told they accent his gym toned thighs and buttocks, and he hopes “Suzy” notices).  For a top, “Billy” wanted something that was somewhat adventurous, and fashion forward, so he choose an Alexander McQueen Asymmetric Button cardigan, with a skull-emblem scarf from the same line. His belt is simple, a Bottega Veneta Engraved leather belt. Messenger bags are hot for guys, especially for a graphic designer that  probably carries his laptop, ipod, and other artistic supplies everywhere. A Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Leather Messenger bag has been chosen for its “textural, fashion forward  look”, as well as its utilitarian usage. (very roomy bag, I have one and love it!) To cap off this masculine, sexy “NYC look”, I have chosen a pair of Rick Owens Cargo Leather Boots. These boots are super cool, and go well with the slim fitting slacks.

Remember, If you love anything in these looks, simply click on the bold link to buy that item. And thanks again to Net-A-Porter  and  Mr Porter. These online boutiques have always been reliable shopping for myself as well as all of my “fashion herd”, Thanks Again!

The Outing at the Bronx Zoo was successful, and our two love birds are now enjoying each other’s company greatly. “Suzy” has called in, as to enjoy the rest of the day with “Billy”. So its off to a wonderful local in the Bronx where the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is even more pleasing. I chose the legendary Zero Otto Nove on Authur Avenue. Everytime I walk into this Italian restaurant located in the Bronx, I am ushered back at my time in Milan,Italy. The food is delicious, the waitstaff are prompt and courteous, and the cocktails are generous and pack a MAJOR punch!  The menu reads like an Italian restaurant smack in the middle of Milan, Brick oven made pizza, and a Grigliata Di Pesce that rivals what I have tasted in Palermo. Their wine list includes some of the most sought after vintages in Italy, and it is HUGE. So our pair have made a love match, lets leave this blossoming romance to its own devices, as these two finish a brilliant day of style, continuing into the twilight with delicious food and conversation. Good Luck “Suzi” and “Billy” 😉
